The Reboot

Ever imagined
how messy the life can get,
and how badly we need a reboot,
a start from scratch,
a new beginning,
an overhauled thought process,
an empty mind,
free of prejudices,
untouched with dirt,
a structure in life,
a framework for relations,
to maintain them,
to nurture them,
in the light of our relationship
with ourselves,
a new purpose for breathing,
a window for fresh air flow,
a door for new people,
the scent of joyousness,
a courage to enter deep into problems,
in order to find the root and fix them,
no escape from reality
but a revival of reality,
the reality of our presence
and the the presence of this universe,
the presence of zero
and the presence of infinity,
the unfolding secrets of happiness.

Let the reboot work,
let it overwhelm you,
let it engulf you,
and let it bring forward a new you,
a you that you wanted to
see, feel, touch, love, embrace,
the shadow of whom is always bright,
dancing  marvelously with the shining light,
and that glimmers gloriously in the dark blue night,
for which the stones in the sky stand upright,
that braveness of two year old,
that exploit of a warrior in the field,
that power of a free individual,
that you will discover again,
when you let yourself reboot.

Mid August

So What!!

[This is a narration by a girl just about to get married to the guy she doesn’t know much about.]

So what if I didn’t like that guy
 at the first place,
so what it will take 33 months for me
to understand,
to develop an understanding,
to develop this relationship,
I don’t care, I shouldn’t care.

All I know is that
you can love anybody
if you spend time with that person,
understanding is a good cover
for compromises,
the compromises that you do
in order to save yourself from pain,
pain of finding another partner,
and not the pain of leaving one.
You become habitual of that person,
and habits are hard to change.

I am forced
because I left no choice for myself,
I submitted to the will of elders,
as you know,
getting old is certificate of wisdom,
wisdom of foolishness.

So I am doing it,
and I will show my love to that person,
I will not cheat
and will show patience if he cheats,
in that way I will be an acceptable wife,
a wise wife of a puny husband.

The life of Mr.Kankali

[Mr. Atmaram Kankali is a funny skeleton man who somehow managed to live among humans. He has a human neighbour named Mr. Red Hairs which he tries to hang out and most of the times, the things don't work out. The following is a glimpse of how they talk to each other but you could listen only the notorious one speaking here.]

Hey, good to see you!
how are you doing?
how is your British accent?
have you stopped reading newspapers?
I know you are tensed,
about your spouse ditching you,
it happens to the best of us,
but that’s not all,
I have my pocket full of condolences
for my dog I lost last week,
I promised I wouldn’t beat this new one,
but you know,
that the only way to unfrustrate me,
…. Oh shut up!
I won't do that,
I am not a pervert,
I don’t believe in that.
….. yeah I know but …
no you listen to me,
it is never good to see you
you always nag,
and create problems,
you are monotonous,
unlike me,
so predictable,
even when your maid slapped you,
you asked for a sorry. Loser.
…….. oh crap!
why am I listening to you.
just leave this place.
……. Ohh yeah yeah! Its your home.
burn in hell.
I am telling you,
its never good to see you,
without me, you’re back in dark ages,
I am your life line.
Don’t shut the door you …
…….. damn humans! Huh.

You Do But You Won't

Yes you need money,
or precisely,
you want money,
but you won't ask for it,
as it may degrade you,
make you feel ashamed,
the hidden guilt of begging,
so you want me to understand it,
that I visit you and give it to you,
on the grounds of you past favors,
reciting your needs with my tongue,
damning consumerism,
but saying it to be the need of the hour,
cursing loans but saying they are
prizes in advance,
you won't be ashamed
if you die for a penny extra,
but you will be ashamed to admit
that you lived for it.
You do but you won't.

The Donkey Vision

He is intelligent,
he is cool,
he is the charm of his group,
he believes in spreading happiness,
but he has a problem,
he does not have a Donkey's Vision.

A vision that you must possess,
in order to get praise,
the praise from other donkeys,
the donkeys who can't see half inch ahead,
ahead of their normal vision,
and even if they do,
they seek permission to do so,
permission of the second-hander,
another donkey above them,
a wiser donkey.

Who said we came from monkeys,
for monkeys are the monks with ey-e,
Darwin was misled,
misled by his proper vision,
the human vision,
the enemy of Donkey Vision,
the one who contradicted the eternal truth,
for 'em don't know what is eternal,
other that what is told to them,
a perfect class of donkeys.

Go to your work early,
salute the wiser one,
grunt when he disappears,
do the work,
finish your work,
complete the time,
and get new work,
do overtime,
because you want to perform,
and make the wiser one happy,
to make yourself the best donkey,
congratulations,
you have the required Donkey Vision.

We are Great

We are great,
and when it reverberates,
it sounds amazing,
it feels soothing,
the illusion of having it heard
from ten sources,
the sources with hollow skull,
brain in their right foot,
devoid of power to reason,
with no accounting of being great,
just fed from the birth,
our forefathers did this,
our forefathers did that,
we invented this,
we invented that,
we discovered this,
we discovered that,
all this happened before we were born,
now what?
nothing!

But we are great,
great in our suffocating thoughts,
the foolishness
with which we boast it,
lofty mountains of stupidity,
with all extinct volcanoes
carrying the iced lava of knowledge,
all forgotten.

Just proud,
for the vacuum in hearts,
for the block heads we possess,
the moronic behaviors,
the stone age doctrines,
nothing worth mentioning,
except that false bragging,
and that shows how great we are.

Yes sir,
on the crutches of freedom,
on the pyre of liberty,
without undertaking,
without really practicing,
we are great.

Liberty

Liberty,
a fruit of freedom,
with seeds of openness,
a ladder for progress,
tolerance for opinions,
contrary to autocracy,
against harsh restrictions
on speech, expression and humanity,
civility of allowing free flow,
the flow of freedom,
the heart of freedom,
the breath of freedom,
liberty.

When I Was Old

[Note: This is a fictional narration by an old lady on the pyre who always was desired by every gentlemen while she was young and then she was ignored after her midlife.]

When I was old,
I used to think about past,
my past,
how glorious it was,
how charming the life was,
that immortal spring of youth,
that timeless red blush
on my orange cheek,
those handsome men
staring at me continuously,
I liked that,
and I admired those gentlemen,
some of those were best at faking,
faking all human basics,
and I adored them for this,
I wanted to be with them,
my nail-polish glittered for them,
I loved their courtship,
I ignored others, the real ones,
because reality is so boring,
unchanging, binding, disgusting,
reality doesn't care
for the stones I was gifted,
reality doesn't politicize love,
a reality I couldn't handle,
that I will be old someday,
I will be saggy, senile, worthless,
that youth will abandon me forever,
and I will be forgotten,
like I never existed,
but those gentlemen existed,
they still exist,
they wanted youth,
my gentleman too,
but contrary to what I was,
its just that he loved the youth,
and I ran after love, care,
I needed somebody to talk with,
I craved for a company
a soul mate,
but I don't exist now,
this is all I was left with
when I was old.

The Last Day

Today is his last day,
but he don’t know this,
he never will.
He starts his day with an alarm,
the tone of which irritates him,
fakes the smile on mirror,
hates his life while brushing teeth,
how colored are they,
maybe one shouldn't be born with teeth like these,
oh gee, these nails,
one shan't be born with them either,
this room stinks,
enough to let me enter hell without a ticket,
what a life.

He bursts into laughter when he switches on the TV,
Its another scandal on air,
how common it has become now,
a scandal free leader should be hanged,
why them, hang the commons,
whoops, the dress is not ironed,
his head needs to be hit with hammer,
how sad it is,
the boss is going to scold him,
a slave should also look like a slave,
it suits,
it has to suit.
He thinks:
"why am I even born,
I suck,
my life suck,
I don’t know how long am I gonna live,
oh lord, take me up,
Just give me a call,
I will join you as soon as possible."
Well,
he forgot to hit the brakes,
now he is lying injured on the road,
he did save one but about to lose himself,
his last words were:
"Why me. Why not him. I could have lived more,
I could have served better. Let me live."

Don't Think, Just Don't

Why do you think?
Don't think,
just don't.
Its not your job,
your job is to serve,
serve the master,
and die as no one,
for if you think,
you will be one of us,
you will challenge us,
and we will be insignificant,
and that is not allowed,
not allowed by the supreme
to become supreme,
so live as we direct,
breathe as we order,
power is everything,
its the sun, moon and star,
its the money, glory and God,
humanity is at the feet,
morality is our best weapon,
the privileged deserves the nectar,
for which we can't afford competition,
and the truth is what you must face,
so just don't think,
just don't.

[It is a fictional, inaccurate, unneeded and one-sided conversation between a big fish and an indigent.]

A Choked Dream

It was a choked dream,
in the dark night,
when he was lying on bed,
suddenly something happened,
somebody had a hold of him,
it was like somebody gained control,
control over his subconsciousness,
the conscious tried to fight,
he tried to speak,
couldn't do that,
he tried to call somebody,
couldn't do that,
could do only one thing,
scream,
scream like the howl of jackal,
tried to stand,
couldn't do that,
had to crawl on knees,
the voice was getting louder,
crossed the room,
got out in the porch,
the lamp was still,
but he wasn't,
he tried to stand,
couldn't do that,
it was getting worse,
had to crawl on belly,
tried to sit,
tried to hold the window,
the screaming was getting louder,
was totally helpless,
what was that happening to him,
but
before it could get worse,
he started gaining consciousness,
that something started losing him,
he woke up and looked around,
it was the same,
nothing was changed,
except the state of mind,
it was a choked dream.

Tea as National Drink?

Following is a conversation between two persons about whether Tea can become the national drink of India.

A: Have you heard that many prominent people are supporting Tea as a national drink of India. I am glad to hear that.

B: I don’t think that tea has that much potential that it can become a national drink of India.

A: Whoops! Here goes the cynic mind.

B: I can argue that.

A:  Oh please, enlighten me why do you think that tea cannot become the national drink of India when we are its largest consumer in the world?

B: The consumption level or the fame among people doesn’t make it necessarily good for health.

A: What? If people like it then why not make it a symbol of national prestige?

B: Let me put your argument this way: “If Sheila ki Jawani is the most famous song and people like it very very much then why not make it a national song.” Would you argue in favor of that?

A: That is an ill argument.

B: No it isn’t. If fame is the criteria then that song fits into it.

A: Oh come on. People won’t drink or offer to drink anything that is not good for health. Would they?

B:  Of course they won’t but when it comes to selecting a symbol of prestige that represents a country that is premiere in Satvik world, the selectors surely won’t go for something Tamsik.

A:  What’s wrong with the quality of tea?

B: Look at its constituents. It contains tannin, caffine, theamine, catachins etc which are definitely not meant to serve the benefits to our health. These are toxins and the effect of tannin is diluted by using milk in it.

A: All right but if it is harmful then why people drink it at the first place?

B: Some basic reasons are:
  1. They feel charged after drinking it and the reason behind this charging up is the presence of drugs, especially caffeine, that acts as stimulant and make them addicted to it in the long run.
  2. Hot tea also increases the bowel movement and helps in excretion process which is due to the presence of hot water in it and not because of tea.
  3. Habit is strong than reason.

A: Forget the milk and water and sugar and all other things, its the tea leaves that are important and have pharmaceutical utilities.

B: Hmm, well then I think instead of talking of making tea a national drink, we should focus on making the tea leaves as the national leaves but I am quite sure that even in leaves competition, it will lose the fight against Tulsi leaves. My bad.

A: You cynic sapien, why are you so much focusing on things being Satvik? Look at our national animal Tiger, its not satvik at all. It kills, eats meat and is totally undemocratic.

B: The reason for selecting Tiger as national animal was majorly to connect as well as symbolize braveness and strength with the wildlife and Lion/Tiger have always represented it. By the way, making cow a national animal is not a bad idea. But still, the arguments in favor of brave and strong Tiger have an edge over the fame supported idea of drug contained tea.

A: You wouldn't want me to tell the name of at least one developed country that has Tea as a national drink.

B: In that case, you also wouldn't want me to tell the name of at least one developed country that has got brothels legalized.

A: Your arguments aren't worth crashing. Prominent people won't support any bad thing at all.

B: My poor headless chicken! Most prominent people hold the strings and that's why they are prominent. They work under pressure lobbies and some just don't need those lobbies at the first place.

A: You don't understand nothing. Arguing with you is a total waste of time. Good bye.

B: My pleasure.

A: Huh. Loser.

7 Deductions from Mein Kampf

The following deductions are based on my understanding of what is written in the book Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler and should nowhere be considered as an endorsement of the book or its author or his ideas.

1.
Suppression of feelings and non-gratification of the most concerned feeling in childhood always affect the thought process in the adulthood and starts resulting negatively to the highest level when given the favorable surroundings.

2.
Best way to influence common people is to continuously pour the thoughts in the minds as it gets stored in the unconscious and starts becoming a part of truth.

3.
An orator has more influential power that a writer.

4.
Good and bad are the terms used as psychological tools.

5.
Out of 50 people, if first 10 candidates openly like or support something than the 11th person is automatically under psychological pressure to like or support the same thing.

6.
Mob is super sensitive.

7.
Most of the times, attaining power is a major reason to publicly think of welfare of the community.

Past and Present - Trying to Reason

[The following is a conversation between two friends who talking about whether to boast about what India has given to the world.]

Person A:
I was watching a movie scene on YouTube in which an Indian hero makes the Londoners aware of what India has given to this world and what world owes to us. I was very glad after discovering the Indian contribution. Its awesome.

Person B:
I have seen that too. The work that was mentioned by hero centered around most of the works done in the past and he is correct about it. The Indian contribution is, no doubt, great but how long are we going to boast about this past glory? Every time somebody calls us snake charmer, we rise screaming saying that we invented zero and told you how to count so just go burn in hell but we forget that this lovely zero and that numeral system was invented almost 1500 years and 2000 years ago, respectively.

Person A:
Are you not happy to feel that we contributed something without which the world would have been in its primitive age only?

Person B:
I am happy but the question is what is our contribution in today's scenario that we can feel proud about? Well there are Indian scientists and doctors working all over the world but there number is a very small percentage of what we call as the largest democracy in the world. We are poor right now.

Person A:
How come we are poor? Don't you know we have Indian Billionaires in top 10 list around the world?

Person B:
We might feel overwhelmed about a handful of businessmen who are in the list of top 10 billionaires but their companies are nowhere near the top 10 all around the world and even if we want to take pride about the billionaires, then we must be proud of boasting about a population equivalent to that of total USA that is living below poverty line. The real world is not constituted of intellectuals or billionaires but the masses who are the lifeline of any place. Their lifestyle, their thinking, their way of reasoning reflects the greatness which comes into the action. Why don't you face the ground reality. What is our collective concrete contribution to the world right now?

Person A:
My dear, we are the maestro of IT. Our BPO's are the best in the world.

Person B:
Well, we are not the maestro of IT, we are the slaves of IT. What we have provided is the clerical standard in the name of executive to the BPO industry. I am not saying that this work is bad. Work is work but the only thing I am saying is that this not something that we should be very much be proud of. Get a BPO job and find it by yourself what is worth boasting about and you will find nothing.

Person A:
We rule the software world. Our engineers are taking our country to new heights. Don't you know about the top software making companies in India?

Person B:
That is another misconception. What I have seen is that even though there are software engineers getting what they deserve but the condition of a considerable number of software engineers is worse than NREGA laborers. In Jaipur or Noida or Gurgaon, there are lots and lots of software engineers getting 6000 INR per month ($120) and the security guard of the same company is getting 7500 INR per month ($150) so just don't tell me that condition of software engineers is good. Adding to that, Indian engineers are one of the most underpaid ones on earth, getting 1/4th of what they should be getting and this ratio is prevalent in most of the IT companies of India. The work hours are 8.5 hours but unofficially they have to work for 12 hours. The HR practices are confined to diplomatic answers and shortlisting candidates for Bell curve. The cream always gets the best but those who are not the cream aren't given even the glimpse of what it feels to be an IT servant.

Person A:
Our country is progressing. We will reach the international standard soon but you don't have to be this cynical about our own people.

Person B:
I am not cynical. I am just showing the correct reflection of what is truth. I know our country is progressing and it will take time to reach the international standards but there is a difference in discussing something and boasting falsely about something. If you think that I am lying then go and talk to the software engineers off the record and then you will find out how it feels to be the most underpaid and over exploited people of modern era.

Person A:
I am sure you are lying and I will prove it after I talk to them but lets talk about our other contributions in modern era. We are the pioneers of yoga and spirituality for which the world still owes us.

Person B:
Ah, my pleasure. I think that we owe the world to remind us that there was something existed like yoga in India a long time ago because we had almost buried it somewhere in Ganges and those foreigners came and found it. We almost forgot that we have the Vedas and the Upanishads to let people know what is the eternal truth as we started living in dreamland of disillusionment and false practices of some powerful people and majority is still living under those rules. The discrepancies at their best.

Person A:
Dude, spirituality is spirituality. What's wrong in worshiping gods? Enlighten me what discrepancies are you talking about?

Person B:
The Upanishads say that there was nothing in the beginning of the universe except "Nirgun Chetan Tatva" which means shapeless conscious element that has no parameters. This element is the originating point of consciousness that randomly started the happenings to let happen. This is something very different from what is taught to a newborn child in India. Here, we are taught that man made gods have created the universe and the mass media also keep people alluded to the same thing. The Upanishads say that the god of all gods (Devo ke dev) is "Praan" (the breath of life) but I don't think I should remind you of what we are fed with as an answer to who is the god of all gods. We ourselves don't try to look into the mirror and just fall for the self-glory statements without giving any ample thought on why we are emotionally forced to believe the other things. We are told that if we do not bow down to a particular god then we will be punished severely by it and there are movies on it and you know about it. Ironically, people watch those movies with their hand joined in respect for that god but do not pay attention to the reality that even the Vedas talked about agnosticism in Nasadiya Sukta in the Rigveda. Well, this is not respect, this is blind following and nothing else and we call ourselves as the masters of spirituality.

Person A:
Bro,Which Upanishad says that god of all gods is 'Praan'?

Person B:
Prashnopnishad, question no.2.

Person A:
I will check your arguments. But talking further, you don't have anything against our family and social system. The world respects our social system.

Person B:
Alas, our families are big not because we love them but because we needed them to work in our farms. More hands, more work, more earning and this is why we are the proud owner of 16.4 % of the total world population residing in 2.3 % of total land area. Regarding the social system, I think we have created a 'self proclaimed glorious well' in which we are continuously throwing ourselves for sake of an endless chain of false order. How come can anybody decide what a person should be doing right from its birth? Caste prejudice is the most debated issue and I find it amusing that we still find it hard to eradicate it but we don't forget to boast about.

Person A:
Forget that. Nobody in the world respects the women more than an Indian. Thats how our family and social values are respected.

Person B:
Why do you always like to fall for the traps by giving such statements. I think I do not have to tell you about the extent of female infanticide in our country. Also, I think you should read some of our old controversial Scriptures and some Niti Shastras to get a knowledge of what dual standards we take pride in talking about. Some talk about the heaven in the feet of mother and some talk about something else.

Person A:
You are total package for being a completely cynical human who don't see anything positive.

Person B:
Bravo my dear headless chicken. I just want to say that its good to feel proud about what we have done in the past but the present glory is not up-to our own standards. The real us is still hiding somewhere deep in our unconscious minds but we don't do efforts to bring it out. I, myself, am not woken up completely but starting to reason is starting to develop. At last, I would like to say that its the masses who reflect the society, the intellectuals influence them. We have to go a long way. Talk to you later. Good bye.

Person A:
Good bye.

The God Paper

Didn't you hear that?
How many times I have to tell you?
This cannot be done.

But why can’t it be done?
It has nothing wrong in it.

Don’t you understand plain English?
Go talk to someone else.

Talk to whom?

I don’t know.

This is your duty to serve us.
You are paid to do that.
If you don’t do the right thing,
Then I will escalate it.

Go ahead. Try your best.
You cannot beat the jerks and clerks.

[Matter escalated]

What is the problem, son?

They are not doing their work.

Take judicial help.

That is unjust. It will waste my time
And I will lose everything.

I tried suspending them; it’s a heavenly treat for them.
Instead of screaming
Ask you parents why they gave you birth.
That might suffice your queries.
OR
Ask yourself why they are not doing your work
And analyze it.

Do I have to bribe them?

Bribing is evil. We must stop it at any cost.

Then what should I do?

Analyze your certificates.

They are perfect.

No. Maybe some papers are missing.

What papers?

The God Paper.

What  is that?

An Eternal credential.
That creates God.
That locates it.
That feeds it.
That is divine.
That is absolute.
That is everywhere.
That is limitless.
That is the reason for smiles.
That is reason of sorrow and pain.
That is the reason of existence.
That will relieve you from all pain.
That will give you your brain a rest.
Its not just a paper,
It can cut Rocks.
It can melt ice in seconds.
Its a fruit of all seasons.
It paves way the way for love.
It diminishes hatred from hearts.
The strongest force of all.
The passport of our life.
The  license to our soul.
The God paper.

[The work is done after understanding the depth of God Paper (Naive call it currency). It’s really divine.]

The Car Begger

In this line we keep moving,
from one street to another,
chasing cars and 'whites',
no scooters and bikes,
cars give money,
bikes give disappointment,
those cars have value,
their owners doesn't,

We do it for living and we are habitual,
you call it begging, we call it work,
a routine to get a taste of truth,
a truth you do not wish to face,
that we are like you,
we pay tax on the breath we take,
on the dreams we see in the night,
not to chase but to be in that car,
how it feels to be on that silk seat,
how it is that it makes us chase it.

This car is sent to feed us,
the quickest money we earn,
the part of which goes to the big brothers,
the leaders of us,
who owns the road and who has the cars,
the kids of whom are neat and tidy,
having a home to live and eat healthy food,
have opportunity to fulfill their dreams,
and feel disgusted after seeing us moving in line,
the line in which we keep moving,
from one street to another.
